Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)

What is The Little Loop?

The Little Loop is a parent-to-parent clothing swap platform for kids' clothes. We make it easy to send outgrown baby and toddler clothes to another family and receive gently-loved clothes in the sizes you actually need. It’s like hand-me-downs—but smarter, more sustainable, and stress-free.

How does The Little Loop work?

  1. Register your child’s sizes and preferences.
  2. Send a box of outgrown clothes to another parent.
  3. Receive a box of preloved clothes in the size you need.

We handle the match and provide a prepaid shipping label. You simply pack and drop off the box!

What sizes do you accept?

We currently support baby, toddler, and kids' clothing from newborn to size 5T. As demand grows, we plan to expand to bigger kids' sizes too.

What condition should the clothes be in?

We accept gently-used kids’ clothes—the kind you'd happily pass on to a friend. That means:

  • No rips, stains, or excessive wear
  • Clean and washed
  • All buttons, snaps, and zippers intact

We love brands like Hanna Andersson, Primary, Old Navy, Zara Kids, and more.

Can I send shoes, accessories, or gear?

Right now, we focus only on clothing (tops, bottoms, onesies, dresses, pajamas, etc.). We don’t currently accept shoes, hats, or gear like carriers or swaddles—but stay tuned!

How much does it cost to participate?

Each swap includes a flat-rate shipping + processing fee, which covers the cost of the prepaid label, matching service, and quality assurance. There’s no subscription—you send and receive when it works for you.

Is this the same as selling on resale platforms?

Nope! The Little Loop is not resale or consignment. We’re a community-based swap platform built for busy parents who don’t have time to photograph, price, list, and wait. We keep clothing in the loop—fast and with heart.

Is this sustainable?

Yes! Our mission is to reduce textile waste and make secondhand clothing a natural part of parenting. By extending the life of each garment, you're helping cut down on landfill waste, carbon emissions, and overproduction. And you're helping another family at the same time.

Do you accept donations?

While The Little Loop is built around a swap model, we do occasionally accept clothing donations for families in need or for community drop-ins. If you’re interested in donating, contact us here.

Where do you ship?

We currently support swaps within the U.S. only. As we grow, we’re exploring options to expand to Canada and beyond.

Can I choose the styles I receive?

We do our best to match you with the right sizes and genders, and we're building features that let you set preferences like seasonality and style. Right now, swaps are a bit like opening a surprise gift—imperfect, but fun and practical!

Is The Little Loop a subscription service?

Nope! There’s no subscription required. You swap when you want—whether that’s once a month or twice a year. It's on your terms.

How do I get started?

It’s easy! Just sign up here to register your child’s sizes and request your first swap. We’ll match you with a family who needs the size you’re sending, and you'll receive a curated box of clothes for your little one.
