From Closet Clutter to Community Impact: How The Little Loop Is Redefining Kids’ Fashion
Share
At The Little Loop, we believe in keeping clothes (and care) in circulation. Our founder, Jessica Curry, recently sat down with ValiantCEO Magazine to talk about the inspiration behind the brand, what makes our sustainability model different, and how we’re building something bigger than just a clothing swap.
Here’s what she had to say:
A Spark from Strategy (and Motherhood)
Before launching The Little Loop, Jessica spent years working in retail strategy at Nordstrom, where she saw just how quickly kids outgrow clothes—and how fast those clothes end up in landfills.
At home, she was facing the same thing: piles of nearly-new outfits her kids had outgrown after just a few wears.
Then, something unexpected happened.
During the LA wildfires, Jessica received an outpouring of support from strangers across the country who sent boxes of outgrown clothes to distribute to displaced families. That moment revealed the power of parent-to-parent generosity—and sparked the idea that eventually became The Little Loop.
“What if sharing clothes didn’t just happen during a disaster?” Jessica asked.
“What if it was just part of how we supported each other, all the time?”
Our Model: Simpler. Smarter. Sustainable.
The Little Loop is a parent-to-parent clothing swap platform. Parents send a box of gently used kids’ clothes they no longer need—and in return, they receive a curated box in the sizes they do need, from another family.
No selling. No clutter. Just circulation.
What makes this different from resale platforms? Our system is built on reuse, not resale—and our revenue model is directly tied to reducing waste. We charge a small shipping fee for each box sent, meaning our growth depends on keeping clothes in use longer, not encouraging more consumption.
It’s good for the planet, good for your budget, and good for your closet.
Why Sustainability Isn’t a Trend for Us—It’s the Blueprint
At The Little Loop, sustainability isn’t just a buzzword. It’s embedded in every decision we make.
“We ask ourselves: does this support reducing textile waste and building community? If not, we don’t do it.”
From our single-box shipping model to our focus on community over commerce, every part of the experience is designed to make sustainable parenting feel natural, not stressful.
The Big Picture: A New Way to Shop for Kids
We’re part of a growing movement away from fast fashion and toward thoughtful, circular alternatives. As more parents look to reduce waste, avoid overconsumption, and connect with others, The Little Loop is ready to meet that moment.
“We don’t need more stuff,” Jessica says.
“We need better ways to share what we already have.”
Our goal is to make secondhand not just a fallback option, but a default one—one that’s powered by real parents and real care.
